Job description:

In this role you are responsible for supervisory and administrative work managing of facility operations performed on the campus. This includes providing management leadership in the planning, promoting, directing, monitoring, and evaluating of programs and services at the facility whether provided by staff, vendor or consultant. Provides direct oversight of 3rd party facility maintenance staff and coordinates with regional finance, security, EH&S and space planner.


Your responsibilities:


- Responsible for all facilities systems, the building envelope and grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, etc.;

- Responsible for maintenance, janitorial, fitness center and cafeteria functions and staff;

- Responsible for directing all facility maintenance, critical systems, and campus wide facility support. Including the knowledge and experience with optimizing the use of facilities systems. Directs facility equipment preventative maintenance program;

- Develop measures and reduce or eliminate facility equipment and critical system downtime;

- Support site EH&S Program and site Security Program;

- Oversee staffing resources and make recommendations to ensure that the tenants and building operations are fully supported;

- Analyze KPI’s and develop continuous improvement program;

- Ensure all employees and non-employees in Facilities Department training is current and documented.



- Site lead for Emergency Preparedness and Response. Develop and maintain Business Continuity and Resiliency Planning. Manage Facility in preparation, execution and recovery during an emergency event;

- Participate in development of the strategic direction and goals of the facilities department to ensure alignment with regional and global objectives. Responsible for monitoring the adequacy of action plans to meet identified objectives, monitoring performance towards achieving goals;

- Understand Facilities Process, project roadmap, tenant responsibilities, financial responsibilities and protocol for Capital Projects etc.;

- Participate in developing & maintaining active long term Campus Master Planning program and real-time Space Planning Management program for site with the support of Global Facilities. Oversee CAFM implementation, program, reports, allocations and analysis;

- Support global real estate in any transactions or acquisitions involving the site;

- Utility energy buy- work with strategic sourcing to develop best energy procurement contracts. Responsible for driving energy and waste reduction initiatives.



- Participate in development and manage departmental OPEX budgets and capital expenditures. Prepares the annual facility budget and monitors expenditures and financing regarding facility contracts and agreements. Actively monitor finance spent, committed, budget and implement cost reduction VIPs as needed to track to budget;

- Approve, oversee, monitor, control, and insure contract compliance of CAPEX projects and other OPEX improvements. Actively participate in planning, design, schedule, budget and contract fulfillment, project close out and turnover;

- Participate in CERA development and associated project costs and budgets.

Implement measures to improve equipment performance, facility operating costs, and the quality of facility operations;

- Manage and oversee RFP process for all services- facility and equipment service, maintenance. Develop technical scopes, review bids, negotiate costs, coordinate with procurement strategic buyer to secure contracts for 3rd party vendors and service providers on site.



- Support Quality System by ensuring that all quality policies and procedures are followed in accordance with applicable regulations. Insure all regulated areas and systems are audit ready. Development and management of controlled governing documents;

- Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports Quality policy, Quality System, NCEP/CAPA programs and the appropriate regulations for the area they support;

- Compliance with FM Global audits and other building regulatory agencies;

- Prepare for and participate in regulatory audits including FDA, TUV, ISO.


- Bachelor or Master's degree in Facility management or other relevant Bachelor's or Master’s degree;

- Minimum 8 years’ experience within Facilities from which at least 5 years of Management experience in a similar role;

- Experience of working in an international, fast moving, multi-site environment;

- New way working;
