Job description:

As Business Development Manager you are responsible for growing the market share by acquiring, maintaining and developing profitable business from customers. The ideal candidate will need to have an excellent understanding of the Contract Logistics solutions offered coupled with a strong knowledge of the Supply Chain Market & Trends and the role requires previous experience in a similar role.


Your core tasks are:

- Lead the identification, qualification and contacting of prospect customers and opportunities;

- Develop and maintain networks at adequate levels Supply Chain Market and within customer’s organizations;

- Secure appointments with the relevant senior management to understand their business and future opportunities;

- Maintain the relationship with target customers and responsible to communicate to and manage the expectations;

- Following up on actions and commitments agreed with customers;

- Manage the opportunity and lead the process of compiling our high quality value propositions and tender pricing responses in order to win new profitable business;

- BD/Sales activities such as Requests for Information (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal/Quotation;

- Support the process of on-boarding new customers to secure seamless implementation in line with contractual agreements made and hand-over to Account Management;

- Regularly review of the progress against the targets.


- Bachelor or Master degree in relevant study preferably;

- Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial or Business Development role;

- Minimum 5 years of relevant supply chain experience, understanding complex distribution/WHS environment;

- Entrepreneur that can work with high degree of autonomy and is a team player;

- Driven to deliver targets and value;

- Languages: English and Dutch (German and French would be an advantage);

- Willing to travel 10-20% of the time.
